Delta Airlines Track Baggage With Hidden Cameras To Help Promote App [Video]

We reported a couple of weeks ago on the new Delta Airlines iPhone app that lets you track your baggage in real time. The app is a great idea and now Delta have come up with a great way of promoting it by sharing a video on Youtube that shows what happens to a bag once you have checked it in. The bag was fitted with 6 high definition cameras and tracked on it’s journey from Atlanta to New York giving us all a glimpse of a world that we never get to see when we are flying. The video has been getting lots of attention on Youtube and it is a fantastic way of raising awareness of the app while also softening the image of the airline by showing the tough logistical challenge that is moving millions of bags every single week. Airlines have not always had the best image and often are the source of much abuse from customers but by embracing social media and becoming more open with initiatives like this they will eventually win customers over. So you can go to sleep at ease now safe in the knowledge that Delta have solved one of life’s great mysteries.
